Kylian Mbappe transfer twist with striker ‘not against staying at PSG’ and ‘opening contract talks’ as deal runs down
REAL MADRID'S top target Kylian Mbappe is in talks over a shock new PSG contract.
The France striker, 23, was tipped to leave for free when his deal ends this summer.
But The Telegraph say he could be persuaded to sign a short contract extension.
It's thought PSG rejected a £134million Real offer last summer as they wanted at least £171m.
And this term Mbappe has notched 18 goals plus 15 assists in 26 games for Mauricio Pochettino's runaway Ligue 1 leaders.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has always insisted he would never let the pacy ace leave for free.
And Real could yet put in another sizable bid before the end of this month's transfer window.
As it stands, though, Mbappe will face Real in the Champions League last 16 - in Paris on February 15 and the Bernabeu return on March 9.

Meanwhile, Pochettino remains favourite for the permanent Manchester United job next season.
Evra told Le Parisien: "They recruited Messi, but he is not the one who will make them win the Champions League.
"It is a collective, a mental state of the entire team as a whole. It is not easy at all, I played five finals and lost four."
And Evra urged Mbappe to lose his square image.
He said: "He's well educated. I'd love to see Kylian sneak away.
"I find him too formatted. I love him, but he's too clean and hides something. When I hear him speak, I get the impression of listening to a politician.
"In the field I hope he thinks about the team and not in their personal goals because the star is the team and not a player."
