Aliev found his timing with his striking just seconds into the fight, landing a barrage of strikes on Horcher early. A big right hook knocked down Horcher and Aliev followed it up with a couple of hard ground-and-pound punches to end the fight.

UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling will receive a day all to his own back in his hometown in Nassau County, NY on May 23. Sterling most recently earned a split decision victory over Petr Yan at UFC 273. This after he earned the bantamweight title via disqualification in their first matchup at UFC 259.

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm will make her Octagon return this Saturday night. Holm hasn’t fought in the UFC since her win over Irene Aldana at UFC on ESPN 16 on Oct. 3, 2020. The UFC wanted her to fight Julianna Peña and Norma Dumont last year, but Holm had suffered injuries. She returns at UFC Vegas 55 to face Ketlen Vieira, who is ranked fifth in the bantamweight division.

Jharley Reyes turned heads at 17 years old when she defeated a boy in an amateur MMA fight, now she is joining Combate Global. Starting out as an amateur in MMA is not easy. Holm was looking to win a third-straight fight following back-to-back victories over Irene Aldana and Raquel Pennington. A win over Vieira would’ve likely given her a title shot against the winner of the Julianna Peña/Amanda Nunes rematch.

Oliveira is speaking out about his missed weight at UFC 274. Charles Oliveira was a dominant fighter coming into UFC 274. He had won ten in a row and was poised to be the lightweight champion for a while if he could continue his streak against Justin Gaethje. However, things change the day before the event.

Ketlen Vieira doesn’t think that the judges were fooled by Holly Holm’s game plan during their fight at UFC Vegas 55. Nurmagomedov was recently interviewed by TMZ Sports, and asked about his rising star pupil. “The Eagle” was asked if he thinks Makhachev has what it takes to surpass his own legacy in the lightweight division — arguably the greatest of all time.

A featherweight banger between Shane Burgos and Charles Jourdain is reportedly in the works for an already-stacked UFC 276 card. Multiple sources confirmed the planned booking to Cageside Press’ Alex Behunin. Should it be confirmed, Burgos and Jourdain will join an all-star UFC cast slated to feature at the July 2 event, which is set to headline this year’s International Fight Week.
