Star Wars: Temuera Morrison Criticizes The Book of Boba Fett on Character's New Change

For most fans, just seeing Boba Fett in action in The Book of Boba Fett. However, some people have a lot to say about the new Star Wars series and that includes Temuera Morrison himself. The star of The Mandalorian has spoken up about the Disney+ show's portrayal of Fett and interestingly, it confirms what fans have noticed about the former bounty hunter since his return.

In The Book of Boba Fett, the new Daimyo has been surprisingly chatty now that he has taken over Jabba the Hutt's old palace. Temuera Morrison is well aware of this and pointed it out to NME that he has tried to make his character stay mysterious.

"I was not very successful, I was hoping not to say as much as I have already in the first two episodes," he said. Morrison even admitted that he was constantly trying to get his co-star Ming-Na Wen to say the lines for him.

"I speak far too much. In fact, in the beginning, I was trying to pass my lines on to Ming-Na. I said, 'Excuse me director, I really feel that Ming-Na should say these lines, 'cause I wanna stay mysterious. I wanna stay quiet,'" Morrison admitted.

Amazingly, Morrison even went as far as asking creator Jon Favreau and writer Noah Kloor to do something about all the dialogue.

"Sometimes, I'd say [to Favreau], 'I think this is too much, I think this is too much. I said, 'Noah, this scene tomorrow. I'm talking too much! This Boba Fett doesn't talk this much. Look, I've got all these paragraphs. I think we should get rid of it and Jon's going to Atlanta so don't tell him!'" he said. However, Morrison also shared that Favreau urged him to say all the lines, promising they will be edited later.

For now, it looks like we'll be sticking to a talkative Boba Fett. However, there's a possibility that the new Daimyo will get to maintain his most mysterious side as well.

The Book of Boba Fett Episode 4 will air on Disney+ on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
