Seahawks: 3 moves Seattle should not make in next two years

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a disappointing season as they finished 7-10 and missed the playoffs. They were the only NFC West team to miss the postseason. That is a bit embarrassing. Seattle should be expected to be better in 2022 as they will have a less-tough schedule and still a talented roster.
There is and there should be lots of speculation about what the Seahawks should do to make the team better into the future but what about what they shouldn’t do? It is easy for fans to say, “Let’s just tear the whole team down!” But why?
Get rid of Pete Carroll? He has been the most successful coach in Seattle history. 2021 was a bad year and he needs to correct some things. Maybe he needs to be brave enough to change defensive coordinators? Carroll isn’t perfect; No one is. But giving up on Carroll after one bad season is a knee-jerk reaction.

Get rid of Russell Wilson? Really? Is he that easily replaced? Wilson probably should have taken a lot longer to return from his finger injury this year and he rushed back. But among quarterbacks with 400 or more pass attempts this year, Wilson was fourth in quarterback rating at 103.1. He had 25 touchdown passes against 6 interceptions. Could Wilson have been better? Yes. But he was still better than most other quarterbacks that walk the planet.
So this offseason, at least, Seattle shouldn’t lose Carroll or Wilson. But over the next two years, they should not make these moves.
