The Montreal Canadiens have the worst record in the National Hockey League as we approach the midpoint of the 2021-22 season.

The organization has dealt with a significant fall from grace after making a run to the Stanley Cup Final last season. They slipped behind the Arizona Coyotes for the 32nd overall spot in the standings after the Coyotes surprised the Toronto Maple Leafs with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night.

Still, when the All-Star Game rosters were announced on Thursday, even the worst team in the league had to have someone representing them. That was Nick Suzuki, who has seven goals and 19 points in 36 games this season. Don’t get me wrong, Suzuki is a great young player, but he really hasn’t been one of the top ten players in the Atlantic Division this season. He was picked because every team needs to send at least one player.

Suzuki doesn’t have to be the only Montreal Canadiens player attending the All Star festivities this season. The 11th and final roster spot on each division roster is voted on by the fans. One of the players that is in the running for the final All-Star spot is Canadiens winger Tyler Toffoli.

Toffoli is having a decent season, though he has missed the past ten games with injury. He has played 26 games this season and has five goals and 17 points.

The NHL is hosting the Last Men In ballots until late Monday night. Toffoli is up against Charlie McAvoy, Tage Thompson, Lucas Raymond, Aleksander Barkov, Brady Tkachuk, Steven Stamkos and John Tavares.

You can submit up to ten ballots per day to help out Toffoli in his quest to be an All-Star by clicking here.

The All-Star Skills Competition will take place in Vegas on February 4th and the All-Star Game is set for February 5th.
