Tottenham Hotspur has been quiet this January transfer window, and as the month hits the midway point, there are only 16 days until it closes. Manager Antonio Conte has done all he can without making any additions to the squad as Spurs are fighting for a top-four spot.

However, Conte is reportedly questioning his future with the north London as the Italian tactician might be frustrated about what he fears may be a lack of serious activity from Levy and football director Fabio Paratici in the current transfer window.

The 52-year-old had the opportunity to put some cold water on these rumors during his press conference with the media, but Conte left the door open to potentially departing if Spurs aren’t ready to commit financially.

“Honestly, I like to live in the present and not to think a lot of the future,” Conte said, whose remarks were relayed by the Daily Mail. “Now it is important to live in the present, to improve the situation and get the best out of my players.”

“The present is now; the future is later. Later could be too much late for us. I signed a contract for the end of the season and then one year more. But I am enjoying my time, and I have a good relationship with the chairman and the general director.”

Last summer, Conte departed Inter Milan when the Italian club decided to sell essential parts to their squad that won Serie A, such as Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi, and not replace them with players similar to their level.
