The Royal Opera House Muscat has announced its new protocols for the safety against COVID-19.

As a response to the rising number of Covid cases in Oman, the company’s Supreme Committee researched and decided on new guidelines for the safety of the performers, staff, and audience members. Now, performances will be held at 50 percent capacity to ensure social distance.

All attendees must wear a face mask.

The opera house opens its 2022 season on Jan. 20-22 with Verdi’s “Rigoletto.” Other operatic productions include Lehár’s “Die Lustig Witwe,” Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore – The Factory of Ideas,” as well as choral performances of works by Verdi and Donizetti.
