Tough night all around for the Stars, who didn't have an answer to Florida's attack. Jake Oettinger got pulled six minutes into the second period and Anton Khudobin went the rest of the way.

The Panthers proved why they're the best team at home in the NHL with six unanswered goals before the second period was done. Dallas, meanwhile, continues to struggle away from American Airlines Center, falling to 4-11-1 on the road.
Here are the five takeaways of the game.

AMBUSHED BY THE PANTHERS

The Stars didn't have a response for the Panthers' dynamic offense on Friday. Florida attacked in waves and pounced on the Stars with two goals in the opening 8:50 of the game and two more in a 30-second span midway through the middle frame
Florida entered the game with an .864 points percentage at home and five consecutive wins at FLA Live Arena.

KHUDOBIN GETS IN THE GAME

Khudobin came on in relief in the second period for his first appearance with the Stars since Nov. 18. He took over for Oettinger, who allowed four goals on 17 shots.
Khudobin finished the game with 19 saves on 22 shots.

HINTZ BREAKS BOBROVSKY'S SHUTOUT BID

Roope Hintz got the Stars on the board at the 1:06 mark of the third period with his 15th goal of the season, placing him in a tie with Joe Pavelski for the team lead in that category.
It gave Hintz five points (three goals, two assists) in his past four games and nine points (four goals, five assists) over his past seven.

BENN SKATES IN CAREER GAME NO. 900

It was a milestone night for Stars captain Jamie Benn, who became the third player in franchise history to reach that milestone with the team.
Benn, 32, made his NHL debut on Oct. 3, 2009 vs. Nashville and has spent his entire 13-year career with the Stars.

FLUSH IT, PREPARE FOR SATURDAY

The good thing is the Stars get right back at it on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Their task won't be any easier, as the Lightning entered Friday's slate with the most points in the NHL.
The Stars will have to find a way to get two points in Amalie Arena. If not, the road will continue to be a huge eyesore for the club.
