Happy Friday — or Chicken Finger Friday, as Lawrence the Band would say.

The brother and sister duo — who plays with six other members — is performing at the Aggie Theatre on Saturday (Jan. 15), and they stopped by 94.3 The X for a special in-studio session.

Signed with Jon Bellion's Beautiful Mind Records, Clyde and Gracie Lawrence have been taking the world by storm. They're set to play Coachella this year, and their song "Don't Lose Sight" is the theme of the latest Microsoft Surface campaign.

"Don't Lose Sight" — Lawrence (94.3 The X Studio Session)

Although Lawrence usually writes songs in their living room, the process behind "Don't Lose Sight" was different.

"We were in a session with another producer...and then we were able to bring it to Jon Bellion," said Gracie. "We could feel the excitement while it was happening."

Along with the song-writing process, the band also loves how music can connect them to different places — they're currently on tour for their latest album, Hotel TV.

"Colorado is really cool because it's such an amazing live music place," said Clyde. "It's super cool how there's just such a well-developed live music thing here."

Lawrence stopped by Afternoon's with Emily to chat about "Don't Lose Sight," Jon Bellion, cream cheese pizza, and more. Listen to the full 94.3 The X interview below.
