The Minnesota Vikings are currently searching for a new head coach after firing Mike Zimmer. They haven't been able to get over the hump, as Minnesota has been a middling team for quite some time. However, hope is on the horizon as the franchise searches for a new leader. Brian Daboll stands out as one of the top candidates this offseason. We take a look at why Daboll should be at the top of the list of coaching candidates for the Vikings.

Brian Daboll has been a stellar offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. He's helped develop Josh Allen into a superstar and is one of the best play-callers in the league. The Vikings would benefit greatly in hiring him, as he'd bring a ton to the table in Minnesota's search for glory.

There is a multitude of reasons why the Vikings should hire Brian Daboll. He has all of the potential in the world to be one of the top coaches in the NFL. If Daboll meets expectations, the Green Bay Packers would finally have a challenge in the NFC North. Furthermore, Justin Jefferson's production could skyrocket while the entire roster would benefit greatly from his playoff experience.

With that said, here are three reasons why the next Vikings head coach should be Brian Daboll.

Potential Vikings Head Coach: Brian Daboll

3. The Packers would finally have a challenge in the NFC North

It seems like the Packers are always in contention for a title as the rest of the NFC North struggles to stay afloat. The Vikings have a solid roster and are just a few key pieces away from becoming a threat in the league. Adding Brian Daboll as the head coach could be exactly what this franchise needs to finally take down Green Bay.

With Aaron Rodgers aging, along with the possibility of him finally leaving the Packers this offseason, the Vikings are in a position to take over the division. Brian Daboll could lead this team to multiple NFC North Division titles. Look for Minnesota to make an offer to the Bills' current offensive coordinator.

2. Justin Jefferson becomes an even bigger threat

Justin Jefferson is arguably the best receiver in the league after just two seasons into his career. It's hard to imagine Jefferson improving his skill set, as he's already an elite weapon in the passing game. Even so, Brian Daboll could provide an extra boost in production for the Vikings superstar receiver.

The Bills do a great job of feeding the ball to Stefon Diggs. Buffalo relies on the passing game, which is Daboll's bread and butter. The Vikings would likely transition from a run-first offense to using a high-flying aerial attack. Regardless of who is the quarterback next year, Justin Jefferson would be in for a massive season with Daboll as the head coach.

1. Brian Daboll brings a ton of playoff experience to a young Minnesota team

Although the Bills have yet to win a Super Bowl, they've been a consistent playoff team the past several years. With that comes plenty of playoff experience that Daboll would bring to the Vikings. The idea of combining his coaching and leadership experience with the superstar talent on Minnesota's roster makes for a dream pairing for this franchise.

Of all the teams currently searching for a new head coach, Minnesota has to be viewed as one of the top destinations. Their offense has the weapons to compete with anyone while the defense is just a few pieces away from being a legitimate threat. If Daboll became the Vikings head coach, they would possibly become playoff contenders immediately.
