I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here recently returned to Gwrych Castle in Wales for the second year in a row – after a number of years in Australia, where celebrities camp in the jungle.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, hosts Ant and Dec discussed the new setting – and their hopes for a return to the show's original location.

"We weren't saddened but we were surprised. With COVID, there was no getting around it," Dec said.

Ant added: "If it has to be Wales for another series, we will do it in Wales, but we want to go back to Australia."

"Australia is the spiritual home of I'm a Celebrity and where it's been for 20 years, and four weeks there in the sun in October and November is great," Dec said.

"We love it and we want to go back."

Dec previously explained why he hoped the show would head back Down Under, saying: "We can torment them more in Australia.

"It's harder conditions outside and there are all sorts of creepy crawlies in the camp, so it's harder in Australia, definitely."

The most recent series of the show was won by Emmerdale star Danny Miller, who was crowned King of the Castle.

Following his win, he said: "From the bottom of my heart and my family's heart, thank you so much. This is the best thing that's happened to me, apart from my son. I can't believe it, I'm shocked.

"I never thought I'd be in this position, I barely thought I'd make it through the first two or three votes."

His win follows that of author Giovanna Fletcher, who was crowned the very first Queen of the Castle.

Giovanna previously said she would have struggled taking part in the following series, after Storm Arwen meant the celebrities had to be evacuated from camp.

"I would have found it really difficult having been in the castle, coming back out, then going back in," she said. "I would have loved the bed and the hot shower and the food, but then that reset of having to go back in would have been a tough.

"But, it's an amazing series and an amazing thing to be a part of. I've spoke to a few since coming out and it's just memories that stay with you for life.

"You face challenges you just wouldn't in everyday life. It's amazing, it's the best thing ever."
