Hollyoaks' Ethan faces new trouble with Sienna

Hollyoaks has kicked off Sienna and Ste's new plot as they've found a huge clue about the location of their stolen van.

In Friday's first-look episode (January 14), Sienna's splashy new contract for a cleaning job was put on the back-burner when Leela and Ste broke the news to her that the Clean-Mobile van had been stolen.

Sienna was determined to figure out what happened to their vehicle so they could all get back to work as soon as possible. Putting her legendary detective skills to work, Sienna searched for clues.

Flashback footage showed that Ethan had been the one to steal their van as a means to hide Maya's body after he'd shot her.

Elsewhere in the village, Darren confronted Ethan to find out whether he was safe from Maya — and, while Ethan ordered him not to ask questions, he promised she'd never be able to hurt anyone again.

"I've done something terrible," he admitted.

When Ethan stopped short of admitting he'd killed Maya, Darren tried to convince him he'd "done everyone a favour" by getting rid of the bloodthirsty crook.

"You've got a family. Focus on the ones you really love," Darren encouraged. "This is a fresh start for you, clean, straight. She's not pulling your strings anymore."

Darren's assurances weren't true at all because Sienna Blake was telling Leela Lomax that she'd left her smartwatch in the back of the stolen van — and she'd been able to use location tracking to find out the van is in the scrapyard!

The episode left off with a shot of the corpse still in the back of the van while the tracker on Sienna's watch audibly pinged.

Next week's episode will see Sienna and Ste getting in over their heads with Ethan's cover-up.
