College program offers new resources to low-income high schoolers
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Fisk University announced the return of a federally funded program that helps underserved high school students graduate and prepare for college. Among several institutions, Fisk University was one of many selected for the grant award by the Department of Education for five years. Waffle House shooter sentenced to life in prison without parole

Drug bust in downtown Nashville leads to arrests
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Another undercover drug bust was conducted by Metro Nashville Police Specialized Investigations Division Wednesday evening. MNPD said three men were arrested for the sales of cocaine and cocaine laced with fentanyl. City Officials warn residents to boil water before using
RIDGETOP, Tenn. (WSMV) - White House Utility District warned residents to boil their water Thursday before use due to the worry of bacteria. WHUD officials said they had discovered that the City of Ridgetop Sewer Department connected a residential wastewater service line to a WHUD water line. After testing for bacteria and not having detected any, WHUD said they still urge all customers in the affected area to boil water before use until further notice.
