Netflix's Newest Horror Movie Has Audiences Too Terrified to Sleep

Netflix has canceled another one of its major shows, with this one getting the ax after only two seasons. Variety reports that hit sci-fi drama Raising Dion has been dropped by the streamer, following its recent season debut. The news seems to have been revealed by series star Sammi Haney, who shared the news with fans on Instagram. "Sad to say that Raising Dion is CANCELED [sic] Thank you for all of the amazing support we got from all of our wonderful fans!" Haney wrote, in part. "Season 2 was a success, equal to Season 1, even if just looking at how many people watched all of it and wanted a season 3!"

Netflix continues to put the hammer down on several of its shows. Variety reported that Netflix has canceled four shows, including a project from Ava DuVernay. The streaming service has canceled a number of projects in recent weeks, even putting an end to Meghan Markle's animated series Pearl amongst several others.

Daredevil is making a comeback at Disney+. The streamer is reportedly developing a new series featuring the Marvel superhero, played by Charlie Cox in the hit Netflix series. Matt Corman and Chris Ord, the duo behind the USA Network hit Covert Affairs, are attached to write and executive produce the new Daredevil series, sources told Variety Thursday.

The new Netflix movie Senior Year provided the streamer with a much-needed hit as the streamer deals with increasingly bad news. The comedy stars Rebel Wilson as a woman in her late 30s who wakes up from a 20-year coma and goes back to high school to finish her diploma. Senior Year earned mixed reviews from critics, but the R-rated comedy has done well with Netflix subscribers.

After weeks in the No. 1 spot, Netflix's hit drama series Ozark has been booted from the No. 1 spot on the streaming charts. The series was ousted from the coveted position by an all new addition to Netflix's streaming library, with The Lincoln Lawyer, an adaptation of Michael Connelly's series of bestselling novels, quickly securing its place as the most-popular title currently on the service.
