Rumor: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Might be Delayed to First Half of 2023

Rumor: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Might be Delayed to First Half of 2023 - News

Ubisoft and Nintendo ay E3 2021 announced Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope for the Nintendo Switch with a 2022 release window.

Nintendo leaker NateTheHate in a video posted to YouTube said he heard that developer Ubisoft Milan needs more time to polish the game to ensure it is the the best game it can be. The game could miss its 2022 release window and get delayed to the first half of 2023, claims the leaker.

2022 is looking like a strong year for the Nintendo Switch even without Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The other bigger releases for the Switch in 2022 include Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, and the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

If they're already talking about it, just two weeks into the year, I'd say there is a 100% chance of delay to 2023.

To be fair, I guess we can say 99.9% chance.

That'd be fine. The first game was surprisingly awesome, so need to rush the sequel. 2022 for Nintendo is already stacked! :)

It is stacked, but only as long as no more games get delayed, which is unlikely. This was a major game that had people saying "2022 will be Switch's best year yet".

Yeah even just losing this game to '23 makes '22 not quite as great. '22 is only the amazing year we've been expecting if no games get dropped. If true this is very disappointing news. Only two weeks into the year and the year's lineup is maybe already losing some of its luster.

That's also assuming that nothing else gets announced. Nintendo tends to have at least a few games that are announced and released within the same year, even fairly significant ones sometimes.

That would make me a sad panda.

...and there are also some nice hits like Bayonetta 3 or Triangle Strategy with a 2022 date or window.

Well that would suck big time. 2022 looks like an amazing year for Switch but only if all the games actually come out! You start dropping games to 2023 and '22 goes from amazing year to just a good year.
