A man in central Florida led deputies on a chase with a 4 year old child, and bricks of heroin and fentanyl riding shotgun.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office arrested Tyrell Jackson, 31, on charges of trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, Oxycodone and MDMA with intent to sell, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, child neglect, and driving with a suspended license.

The chase began on Thursday night. A deputy spotted a silver Toyota Camry that sped away from a traffic stop the night before. In this incident, the suspect took off again.

A Holly Hill police officer spotted the car and later found it abandoned in the backyard of a home in Daytona Beach.

According to investigators, the officer saw the suspect rush to the door of the home, yelling, "Hurry Up!" Someone opens the door and the man pushed the young child into the home and went inside. Jackson then bolted out the front door. Deputies ran after him and found him hiding under a blanket at a vacant home nearby.
