Brockhampton, the band founded by Corpus Christi native Kevin Abstract, announced it will take an "indefinite hiatus" after its next four performances.

American rap collective Brockhampton released its fifth studio album, "Ginger," on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019.

In an Instagram post, the group announced its upcoming shows at the O2 Academy Brixton in London and at Coachella would be its last and all other tour dates are canceled immediately. Refunds for all tickets and VIP packages will be available at the point of purchase, the post said.

"Following these four performances, we will be taking an indefinite hiatus as a group," the post said. "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being on this journey with us. We would not be here without our fans. We hope we've been able to inspire you as much as you have us these past eight years. We are bonded and grateful to you for life."

The announcement came almost a month after the group canceled all of its European tour dates except for the Feb. 7-8 Brixton Academy shows in London.

Brockhampton was founded by Kevin Abstract, whose birth name is Clifford Ian Simpson, in 2010. The group has released six studio albums. The group announced that its last full-length album, a follow-up to "Roadrunner: Last Light," would be released in 2021. It's unclear if Brockhampton plans to release that album.
