The launch of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB remains on the cards after months of delays. The RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB may be even less of an upgrade from the RTX 3070 Ti than the RTX 3080 12 GB is from the original RTX 3080, though.

ASUS and Gigabyte have registered more RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB SKUs with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia. Only last month, Gigabyte filed six SKUs for the same card with the EEC under its Gaming, Vision and Eagle brands. Now, it has added a Stealth-branded card, listed as the GV-N307TGAMING OC-16GD STEALTH.

Additionally, ASUS has registered numerous SKUs as ROG Strix and TUF Gaming cards, among others. While RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB listings have appeared before, these are the first since the card's rumoured January 11 launch date. Instead, only the RTX 3080 12 GB arrived, albeit without an MSRP. Also, NVIDIA prevented anyone from providing day one content, despite having release drivers ready.

Even though the new listings do not provide any additional details about the RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB, they do point towards NVIDIA's AIBs readying themselves to release the card again. Unfortunately, it remains unclear when NVIDIA will do so, nor for how much.

The RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB is only expected to feature more VRAM than the RTX 3070 Ti though, unlike the RTX 3080 12 GB compared to the 10 GB model. Hence, the two RTX 3070 Ti cards may only perform as well as each other in many games. NVIDIA may need to bump the card's TDP to accommodate double the VRAM, mind you.
