‘Peacemaker’ stunt coordinator hired to work on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’

Fans of Gunn will know that once he finds a talent he likes, heā€™ll tend to reuse them in projects repeatedly.

James Gunn apparently had such a good time working with the stunt coordinator on the DC show Peacemaker that he is bringing him across the aisle to rival comic book cinematic universe Marvel for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.Ā

In a post Gunn shared on Twitter Friday, the director explained that his ā€œfriend Wayne Daglishā€ was recommended to him from none other than fellow DC alum Zack Snyder, who last year released the very critically well-received superhero epic Zack Snyderā€™s Justice League on HBO Max, the very same streaming platform where you can watch Peacemaker.

Fans of Gunn will know that once he finds a talent he likes, heā€™ll tend to reuse them in projects repeatedly. For instance, Michael Rooker appeared in the first full-length feature Gunn directed, Slither, in 2006, and has since appeared in everything from the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films to last yearā€™s excellent The Suicide Squad.Ā

And it isnā€™t just the stunt choreographer from Peacemaker that will subsequently take part in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, either. Last year, Gunn explained working with actor Chukwudi Iwuji was such a joy on Peacemaker, he decided to bring him along for the spacefaring Marvel adventure as well.

If you’re wondering what the reception is for Peacemaker so far, the John Cena-starring show is being praised by both fans and critics. It even boasts an impressive 94% on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, as of press time.

You can watch the first three episodes of Peacemaker on HBO Max now, with subsequent episodes releasing each week on Thursdays.
