‘LEGO Star Wars: Castaways’ Gets New Post-Launch Gameplay Trailer

LEGO Star Wars: Castaways, exclusively available on Apple Arcade (for now), launched back in November, but that doesn’t mean promotion for the game is ending anytime soon.

A new gameplay trailer has arrived to showcase a number of brand-new activities and features coming to the game, which is already a surprisingly varied offering of blocky Star Wars fun. Check it out below:

As you can see, customization and online social elements play a huge role in LEGO Star Wars: Castaways, but it’s action-packed too, with co-op missions and even space dogfights taking the spotlight as the trailer progresses. The official press release by Gameloft details the new additions:

These new activities and features are available now!

– Own your personal Microfighter: Discover the new Microfighter shop and acquire your own.
– Customize your hair color: Visit the new Barbershop to discover a fun customization feature.
– Play with your friends: Build or destroy sandcastles, go fishing for LEGO bricks, and hangout at the Cantina or by the beach on the lounging chairs.

Whether you want to chill at the island hub or are looking for some lighthearted adventures set in the LEGO Star Wars universe, it seems like Castaways has quite a bit to offer right now. Moreover, it will probably make the unbearably long wait for WB Games’ LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga a bit easier, too.

The game, developed by veteran mobile game company Gameloft, joined over 200 other games in Apple’s growing gaming subscription service, which can be used on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. The current cost for subscription is $4.99 a month, with a one-month free trial opportunity. You can learn more here.
