Prepare to catch, survey and research wild Pokémon in the latest sprawling action RPG from Nintendo – Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the next big entry in the monster-catching franchise and it's out now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Your role is to build the first-ever Pokédex in the expansive Hisui region, where it's rare for people and Pokémon to live in harmony – the game takes place long before the events of previous games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and long before things like Pokémon Trainers and Pokémon Leagues existed.
You'll encounter new and familiar Pokémon as you explore the vast land, navigating lush forests, snowy mountains, deep swamps and more, as you figure out the best way to catch Pokémon in the wild, whether that means throwing a Poké Ball to battle them, or observing them from a distance and sneaking into their habitat.
Developer Game Freak is taking a new approach to the Pokémon games with this outing, as it's a big open-world adventure which allows you to catch Pokémon in different ways and do various things in the world, like crafting and using Pokémon to ride and fly across the map.

You can also purchase the game on the Currys eBay store for £36.99 by using voucher code TIMEFOR10 at checkout, taking £4 off the usual £39.99 price. This code appears to stop working on January 29 though, so be quick.
The next cheapest price is at ShopTo, who are currently selling the game for £39.85. Argos aren't too far behind with a price of £39.99.
Amazon is selling a version that includes the steelbook and a cartridge holder shaped like a Poké Ball – it's sold out at time of writing, but worth checking to see if it's in stock if you want the extras.

Arceus was announced as part of the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, along with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl which released last year.
Nintendo also released a Pokémon Dialga & Palkia-designed Nintendo Switch Lite which features a special art design and it's available at The Game Collection for £209.95. It's also sold at Amazon and GAME but may be out of stock due to the limited availability.
Other releases to celebrate the anniversary included a Pokémon Card Collector Box, a die-cast Poké Ball replica and a fashion range.
