Kep1er Applauded for Live Vocals During 'WA DA DA' Encore Stage

After ten days of promoting their debut single "WA DA DA," Kep1er achieved their first music show win on "M Countdown" on January 13. As the girl group was formed on Mnet's "Girls Planet 999," the fact that Kep1er won their first music show win on Mnet's music program was especially special. The group was nominated against IVE for "ELEVEN."

Fourth-generation girl groups have continuously been scrutinized for their vocals during encore stages, which has led many to be critical concerning Kep1er's live vocals for their stage. After receiving their trophy, Kep1er did not forget to bow to their seniors and MCs, (G)I-DLE member Miyeon and Nam Yoon Su. Miyeon and Yujin were seen hugging on stage, showing their friendship as two artists under Cube Entertainment.

The girl group then started singing their song "WA DA DA" live. Many revealed that they were impressed with the rookie group's performance. As they are a girl group formed on a survival show, their vocal ability was correctly trained and all the members have stable singing techniques.

Although it was their first music show win, the members of Kep1er all appeared calm and confident as they sang "WA DA DA." Though some members missed their high notes, the group performed their song seriously. They did not skip lines or talk during their lines, showing that they are fully capable of performing "WA DA DA" live.

Many praised them for their confidence and abilities, stating they showed potential as a rookie group. Many compared them to IVE, a group that debuted a month before them, who has previously been entangled in controversies concerning their encore stages.

Some comments concerning Kep1er's encore stage read, "They sang well during the encore today," "While listening to the encore, I realized they sing better than I thought. Even though everyone is emotional, their singing was stable," "The song is already good, now it is even better hearing it live," "I appreciate that they did not skip lines or lip-sync," and "The group singing live for their encore gives them plus points."
