Stars forward Joe Pavelski was named to the Central Division roster for the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Feb. 5 (2 p.m. CT; ABC). Pavelski was among 36 players selected by the NHL Hockey Operations Department on Thursday to represent their respective divisions.

This marks the fourth time Pavelski has been named an NHL All Star and his first with Stars. Pavelski took part in the 2016, 2017 and 2019 NHL All-Star Games as a member of the San Jose Sharks.
The 37-year-old forward is on pace for the best season of his decorated NHL career. He recorded a career-high five points (two goals, three assists) Wednesday night against the Seattle Kraken, his second 4+ point outing of the season (last: Dec. 18 vs. Chicago). Pavelski is one of just six NHL players this season to record a five-point game, joining Boston's Matt Grzelcyk, Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon, Pittsburgh's Bryan Rust, LA's Anze Kopitar and Florida's Jonathan Huberdeau (two times).
Not only was he the first Stars player to record a 5+ point game since Tyler Seguin registered a hat trick and two assists on March 6, 2014 against the Vancouver Canucks, Pavelski became the first NHL player to record 5+ points in a regular-season game at age 37 or older since Teemu Selanne (three goals, two assists) on March 28, 2011 with Anaheim.
Pavelski's five-point outing vs. Seattle gave him seven multi-point games in 2021-22. The last time an NHL player had 7+ multi-point games in a single regular season at age 37 or older was in 2017-18 when Daniel Sedin (13), Henrik Sedin (9), Henrik Zetterberg (8) and Patrick Marleau (7) each did so.
Pavelski leads the Stars in points (35), goals (15), assists (20) and power-play goals (6) and co-leads in plus/minus (+12) in 33 games this season.
The All-Star Game will feature a three-game tournament, played in a 3-on-3 format, showcasing teams from each division. Each of the four teams will include nine skaters and two goalies.
The 2022 NHL All-Stars Skills will take place on Feb. 4 (6:30 p.m. CT; ESPN).
