This presentation is part of a short course (Tuesday choices) that will introduce the audience to tools, organizations and companies in the area that can be a resource in their entrepreurial path. It is open to all students, faculty, and staff of Andrews University. Not open to the general public. It will take place in Garber Auditorium in Chan Shun Hall on Jan. 18 at 11:30 a.m.

Join SIMBA Master Trainer Toom Cooksey to learn about blockchain and entrepreneurship. During the session you will discover more about how SIMBA Chain is building the portable, simple interface that brings Web3 to life for the rest of the world and discuss practical blockchain use cases.

Tommy Cooksey is a United States Marine Veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in the IT field. Tommy is a AWS Cloud Architect Professional(AAI Champion Trainer), Security Specialist and SysOps SME. With over 30 years of experience in the IT field Tommy has achieved nearly as many certifications including Full Stack PeopleSoft Developer, Cisco Certified Networking Associate and Microsoft Systems Engineer.

In addition to several years as a software engineer, admin and trainer; Tommy has been working in the blockchain field since 2017. Tommy holds the position of Master Trainer at SIMBA Chain, a blockchain software and consulting company founded in South Bend, Indiana, with roots at the University of Notre Dame. At SIMBA, he creates course materials and trains on Web3, Blockchain technologies and cloud integrations.
