Free Stress Management Program For Parents

On Wednesday, January 26, the Verona Public Schools will present a free program, “Stress Management for Parents in 2022: How to Regain Your Balance.” The program will take place in the Verona High School auditorium from 7 to 8:30 p.m. or you can watch a livestream here.

The program is the next a series of seminars by Rutgers University Behavioral Health’s School-Based Training on how to support children after the pandemic, and it will be led by Dr. Karyn Smarz, a licensed clinical psychologist.

As the pandemic continues to leave an indelible mark on all of our lives, parents and children have had to adjust to many new challenges during a time of great uncertainty. From “work from home” schedules to virtual schooling to masks and vaccines, stress has been a constant in all of our lives. Begin the New Year with a look at how to regain balance in your life and in your family’s lives. Embrace the “new normal” with a fresh perspective and new strategies for stress management.
