Shawn Mendes took to his social media on Wednesday to announce that the next day, the video for his break-up track, It'll Be Okay, presumed to be about his split from, fellow musician, Camila Cabello, would be out. Today's the day, and the music video is just as somber as we expected. The 23-year-old singer takes a contemplative walk during the video as he belts his heart out in his hometown.

On Thursday the Treat You Better singer released the music video for the break-up song, It'll Be Okay, which showed him looking a bit melancholy as he walked through the streets of snowy Toronto.

The lyrics seemed a direct nod to the end of his partnership with Cabello as he sang: "Oh if the future we dreamed of is fading to black I will love you either way."

The emotional video showed the Canadian crooner clearing his head on a nighttime stroll while bundled in a winter coat.
