Rowney (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Rowney wasn't previously designated with an injury, but the move was made retroactive to Jan. 4, so he's clearly been dealing with this for a while. It's unclear when the 32-year-old will be able to return to action again. He's played mainly in a fourth-line role with four points in 22 contests, so he's not likely to be missed in fantasy.
