A fluffy lover with a constant rumble, who was left in a box on the side of the road, is looking for a forever home.
Craven Pamlico Animal Services Center shelter attendant Nic St. Clair said Jasper is about five months old, neutered and has had his first set of shots.
“He is definitely a lover. He loves to be held and is a purrer and he would make a great pet for someone,” he said.
A lot of people think because he’s solid grey, he may be a Russian blue.
“Unfortunately, he is just your average domestic short-haired grey cat. He actually came in with five other siblings,” he said, “Supposedly all were found on the side of the road in a box.”
The adoption fee to take Jasper home is $80, but the Ricci Law Firm will pay up to $100 of the fees for pets featured on To the Rescue.
“The adoption is actually pretty quick and easy,” St. Clair said, “You come in, if you do find an animal that you are interested in you can interact with them prior to adopting them. We have cat rooms or separate rooms if you want to get a little more interactive. If you want to take him home, you just fill out a little paperwork. It takes about 15 minutes total and you leave with him same day”
