The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to CBS News that West, who changed his name to Ye last year, is the main suspect in a battery probe after he reportedly got into an argument with a man who asked him for an autograph outside a Downtown Los Angeles nightclub.
Witnesses told TMZ that Ye allegedly punched the victim once in the head and once in the neck. When he went down, "his head struck the ground hard."
In a video obtained by the outlet, the rapper could be heard yelling, "Get away from me" after allegedly attacking the fan.
