Shake Shack has opened a new location in Carlsbad, reports FOX5.

The new location opened its doors on Wednesday, January 12, making it the burger chain's fifth location in the San Diego area.

This is also the chain's second location in North County. It's located at 7740 El Camino Real Suite K at The Beacon La Costa. The restaurant has an outdoor patio as well as an indoor dining room and will be open from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. daily.

The location also has a special area where customers can pick up their food pre-ordered through Shake Shack's app.

On its opening day, the location donated a dollar for every burger sold to the Kids for Peace organization.

While the menu includes regular Shake Shack signatures, Eater San Diego reports that the menu features a "SoCal-only burger" called the Roadside Double which is a double Swiss cheeseburger with Dijon mustard and beer-simmered onions.

Several local beers will also be available for purchase at the restaurant.

San Diego welcomed its first Shake Shack in 2017 at Westfield UTC. Since then, the chain has opened locations in Mission Valley, Little Italy, and Del Mar.

According to Eater, the company has plans for a sixth location at the new Watermark development in Scripps Ranch.
