Jersey Shore’s Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi SLAMS Bravo boss Andy Cohen for banning her from joining RHONJ
JERSEY Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi blasted Bravo boss Andy Cohen for allegedly banning her from joining the cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey.
The 34-year-old called out the franchise executive for being “so aggressive” about not letting her into the fold.
After RHONJ star Melissa Gorga claimed on her podcast that Andy refuses to even consider letting her friend and fellow reality star Snooki join the Housewives cast, the Jersey Shore star herself has responded.
During the latest episode of Danny Pellegrino’s Everything Iconic podcast, the host asked if she and Andy were even on good terms right now after hearing what Melissa had to say.
Snooki admitted she thought their relationship was just fine until he was adamant about his ban on her joining RHONJ.
She shared on the pod: “I always had a good time with him, and we would go on his show and stuff like that.
“But ever since people bring up me being on the Housewives, he’s just like, ‘Not a chance! Not happening!’”
The Jersey Shore star said she started to wonder if she did “something wrong” to make him seemingly dislike her so much now.
While the mother of three shared that she has no interest in being on RHONJ anyway, she doesn’t like feeling like there’s a rift between her and Andy, and like she’s not allowed to be part of something.
“I don’t want to be on the Housewives because it’s not my thing,” Snooki said. “Like, the drama and legal s**t. I’m just here to have wine and go home.”
She continued: “So, the show’s not for me, but he’s so aggressive about it. He’s just like, ‘No! Never!’ I’m like, ‘All right, calm down.’”
After host Danny begged her to try to find a way to be on the Bravo series, she shared that she’d only ever want to do a “cameo here and there” but nothing more than that.
Rumors have been swirling for years that Snooki might join the show, with many fans thinking she'd make a great addition.
RHONJ star Melissa worked to, sadly, shut down that speculation on her On Display podcast recently, saying her boss had no plans to let it happen.
Though she and Snooki are “friends,” the mother-of-three claimed boss Andy doesn’t want her on the series.
“[He] gives her such a hard no,” Melissa said. “He’s just like, ‘Don’t even say it.’”
She continued: “Whenever I would go to him and be like ‘Hello! She’s married now, she has three kids, she lives around the block. She’s great for this, I think,’ and he just looks at me like ‘No.’”
“He is just not having it,” the RHONJ star added.
Not wanting to completely slam Andy’s alleged refusal to consider Snooki, Melissa revealed she does kind of understand where he’s coming from.
“To his defense, they typically do not like to cast other people who have already been on a different reality show,” she said.
The 42-year-old explained: “They prefer to find an authentic lady living in New Jersey with a crazy life an a Bentley.”
Not only does he supposedly not want Snooki to be a Housewife, but the Jersey Shore star recently claimed that Andy doesn’t even want her anywhere on Bravo.
Melissa brought their conversation about it back up, saying on her recent podcast: “You know what she said to me when she was on my show?
“That he won’t even accept her for Watch What Happens Live anymore. So, I don’t know.”
A couple of years ago, though, Andy had said he was "starting to think about" hiring Snooki after hearing so many rumors of her joining RHONJ.
While on Live with Kelly and Ryan, he said: “She's 32, so she's in the age range. Now, I'm starting to think, it's something to keep our eyes out for."

He added: "It's always something that I've kind of discounted. I've thought, it's two different shows. I don't see it.
"I know some of the women actually know her, and I will say watching your show this morning and hearing it come out of your mouth, it kind of legitimized it in a way.”
