The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office announces they have arrested a teacher in the St. James Parish school system for indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The sheriff says 50-year-old Lisa Samuels of Donaldsonville Samuels had inappropriate contact with a juvenile and molestation of a juvenile. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Samuels after the victim called the state’s child abuse hotline. Deputies arrested Samuels on Tuesday.
The facts were presented to a judge and an arrest warrant was obtained.
The Sheriff’s Office did not elaborate as to the nature of the alleged inappropriate behavior. A social media account belonging to Samuels says she’s an art teacher for St. James Parish schools and has been employed by the school system since 2009.
