A new rumour online states that it will be a tad easier to get your hands on an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 on January 27. Nvidia seems to have a large batch at its disposal to keep up with launch day demand.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 announcement at CES 2022 was met with excitement and disappointment. It would serve as a stopgap solution for PC builders on the prowl for a graphics card; however, many were sceptical about its availability. Thankfully, the first batch of GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards should be enough to satiate the needs of some, if not all, gamers.

The information comes from the Chinese tech forum Board Channels (via Videocardz), which accurately prophesized graphics card-related news on several occasions. However, it is missing several key details, such as the number GeForce RTX 3050 units manufactured and the region-wise distribution of the said units. It only pertains to the first batch of cards expected to hit shelves on January 27, though.

While the prospect of more GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards out there is a welcome one, gamers will still need to be quick on their fingers to get on, thanks to scalpers and bots. Its 8GB VRAM could also be its undoing, as it makes it attractive for miners, who, at this point, will take anything.

One may have to fork out a little more than Nvidia's MSRP of US$249 because the card doesn't have a Founders' Edition. We've it pan out with the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, which is selling for €299(US$338) in some regions despite its US$199 MSRP.
