Emmerdale is ramping up the tension as Cain Dingle and Al Chapman's feud continues, with soap bosses promising an "explosive moment" between the two men.
As the ITV soap enters its 50th year, the drama is showing no signs of slowing down, with producers Jane Hudson and Laura Shaw hinting at trouble for both Cain and Al.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Shaw confirmed that Emmerdale will air another one of its "special weeks" later in the year – and an "infamous stunt", too.
"I can also confirm that we do have one of our big special weeks planned for later in the year, which will contain the culmination of some of our biggest stories as well as the start of other big stories," Shaw teased.

"And fingers crossed, COVID permitting, hopefully we'll throw one of our infamous stunts in there as well."
That "special week" will involve another action-packed storyline for Cain and Al, with Jane Hudson revealing that "Cain and Al's feud is definitely not over."
She continued: "Something will happen that will make those two have to look at their relationship with each other.
"There's definitely going to be an explosive Cain/Al moment in our special week. I think the audience are really enjoying these two men constantly at war."

Cain and Al's fractious relationship reached a tipping point in recent weeks, after Cain blamed Al's son Ellis for putting Belle Dingle and Kyle Winchester in danger after leaving them overnight in a forest.
After Cain abandoned Ellis out on the moors in an act of revenge, he returned to the hospital to find the tables had been turned and Al watching Kyle as he slept.
Although the stakes are higher than ever, Emmerdale fans shouldn't expect to see either Cain or Al backing down any time soon.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
