The keystone of the M11 is its full-frame BSI CMOS sensor, which allows users to record either raw images or JPEGs at 60, 36, or 18 megapixels while still using the full sensor. One of the real breakthroughs of the M11 comes in its ability to record ultra-sharp 60-megapixel images thanks to the newest APO Lenses for its M-System. Moreover, the M11 also features an IR + UV cut filter that not only corrects incident light and glare but also offers enhanced color reproduction. With shutter speeds of up to 1/16,000 of a second, Leica’s latest model lets photographers shoot with more opened apertures without the need for ND filters. Aesthetically speaking, the M11 retains the classic, compact Leica design, coming in either all-black or chrome. The black variant includes a scratch-resistant top plate that’s made of aluminum and is 20% lighter than its chrome counterpart, which features a brass top plate. Leica’s M11 camera retails for $8,995.
