Global Release Time and Preload

Game developer Santa Monica Studio has revealed the global release timings, which you can read below.

Preload is now available for Steam users. Go ahead and download the game early so that you can play this amazing title on launch day uninterrupted. Obviously, you will have to pre-order it before downloading it.

Whether Epic Games Store players can pre-load the game has not been confirmed yet.

PC Features and System Requirements

God of War (2018) comes with some bells and whistles on PC. It features uncapped FPS, ultrawide support, and superior visuals. It also comes with new technologies, including DLSS, FSR, and Nvidia’s Reflex.

The system requirements of the game have been revealed as well. Thankfully, they are not too high, but not too low either. You can check out our previous article for more information.

PC Performance

Gameplay footage of the PC version is already available. According to several reports, the game performance seems good but some players reported minor stuttering when loading to a new area. We hope the developer fixes this in future patches. Compared to the port of Horizon Zero Dawn, this port seems to be a lot better.

Future PlayStation Games Coming to PC

God of War (2018) PC port won’t be the last for Sony. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection containing the remasters of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: Lost Legacy will also be released on PC later this year. Several other PS games are rumored coming to PC as well.
