Aquaman star Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have announced they are separating.
The couple, who have been together for 17 years and married for five, confirmed the news on social media earlier today (January 13).
In an Instagram post, the Worlds of DC hero explained that he and Lisa Bonet planned to "part ways in marriage". Suggesting an amicable split, he added: "The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived."
"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring", Momoa wrote.
The actor, who is gearing up for the release of Aquaman sequel The Lost Kingdom, reassured fans that the couple will continue to remain "devoted" to their two children.
He concluded: "May Love Prevail".

Four years on from Aquaman's initial release, Jason Momoa is set to return to the big screen as the King of Atlantis later this year.
The movie – which also stars the likes of Amber Heard, Yahya Adbdul-Mateen II, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren and Nicole Kidman – recently released its official synopsis.
"When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible devastation," it reads.

Despite its pretty heavy premise, Momoa admitted that he "giggled" while reading the script. "Even on the page, it was absolutely wonderful," he teased. "There is so much going on...
"There's a lot of fun. There's a lot more heart, there's a lot more risk."
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom currently has a release date of December 16, 2022.
