Megan Fox Drinking Blood in Machine Gun Kelly Engagement Leaves Fans Horrified

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are engaged and the proposal has proven to be a massive spectacle—just like their whirlwind romance.

The Jennifer's Body actress and the musician—real name Colson Baker—announced their plan to marry on Wednesday, with both posting details of their lavish engagement on Instagram after a year and a half of dating.

The couple shared a video of the 31-year-old singer getting down on one knee under a tree. Fox, 35, declared that they celebrated the engagement by drinking each other's blood.

"In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree," Fox wrote in her Instagram caption. "We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma."

She continued: "Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes. …and then we drank each other's blood. 1.11.22."

The unusual celebration has prompted a huge reaction from fans online.

"Truly delighted that Megan Fox and MGK drank each other's blood upon their engagement. Finally, celebrities being harmlessly weird again," joked writer Roxane Gay.

Another person quipped: "I appreciate that Megan Fox was robbed of her hot topic phase by Hollywood, so she's making up for lost time. Drink as much blood as you want, Megan. You deserve it."

Comedian Hanna Dickinson wrote: "Oh, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are engaged? I thought they exchanged blood and morphed souls like 6 months ago."

Another Twitter user reacted to the report by posting: "this couple needs to be jailed n im so serious."

One fan simply couldn't believe the news, tweeting: "Did Megan Fox just say her and MGK just drank each other's blood...."

Former NBC executive Mike Sington was unimpressed, writing: "Now excuse me while I go vomit."

In his own Instagram post, Kelly shared a video of Fox wearing the emerald and diamond engagement ring that he designed.

"'Yes, in this life and every life' beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me," he wrote.

"I know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022," he added.

Their engagement comes just three months after Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian in similarly dramatic fashion.
