Japanese imprint WTAPS and Champion join forces once again for a range of neutral basics following its debut collaboration introduced in February of last year.

The joint collection, titled “Academy” is based on WTAP director Tetsu Nishiyama‘s BLANKS minimal apparel line integrated with Champion’s garment-making expertise. The pieces are made with a special blend of materials that arrive heavier than usual for longevity and a more premium feel.

Included in the collection is the return of short and long sleeve cotton T-shirts as well as Reverse Weave® sweatshirts and hoodies. This year also incorporates a line of terry fleece cuffed sweatpants featuring a drawstring opening and a back patch pocket. All pieces are found in a boxy fit and feature a co-branded woven label and a champion logo sleeve patch. Color options include “Beige”, “Olive Drab”, and “Sand.”

The WTAPS x Champion collection will arrive at the Champion Japan website, WTAPS online store, and select physical stores on January 15. Prices range from 8,800 JPY for T-shirts to 24,200 JPY for hoodies (approximately $77 to $211 USD).
