Monster Hunter Rise releases to the PC today, following its arrival on the Nintendo Switch in March of last year. Offering 4K resolution support, advanced graphic options, voice chat, ultra-wide monitor support, and more.
More trustworthy companions to Monster Hunter
To help players on their quest, they now have access to newly released content with added companions. The new Palamute companion joins past favorites to assist players in various ways as they seek to overcome the looming monster rampage. For example, offering offensive capabilities during a fight or swiftly chasing down any fleeing monsters and map traversal.
With the release of Monster Hunter Rise comes new weapons and tools for players to take advantage of their hunt. The Wirebug will allow players to grapple any direction in a hunt and can be paired with the 14 weapons to create “Silkbind Attacks.” Using the new attack will make the target susceptible to a new technique at the player’s disposal. The Wyvern riding technique temporarily controls targeted monsters to display spectacular battle sequences.
More for players to explore and hunt
The release also comes five expansive locales for players to explore in Monster Hunter Rise. From the Shrine Ruins, Flooded Forest, and Sandy Plains. Across these locations, players can battle massive hordes of monsters in the new quest type Rampage.
Players must work together with the citizens of Kamura Village by preparing defensive installations and guarding the stronghold barricades. Defending against the waves of invading monsters, the players will have to last against powerful Apex monsters that arrive to wreak havoc.
Lastly, Monster Hunter Rise introduces “Switch Skills” for each weapon as hunters progress. Swapping out these new skills with silkbind or regular attacks allows players a more diverse set of combos and strategies.
All content released up to the 3.6.1 Nintendo Switch update comes with Monster Hunter Rise free. Additionally, The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion will be a paid add-on with a release date on both Switch and PC in the Summer of 2022.
