On January 13, YG Plus, an album distribution company, announced that fromis_9's 4th mini album "Midnight Guest," which will be released on January 17, has surpassed 120,000 pre-orders in just two weeks since the sale began.

This is a figure that surpasses the Initial Chodong sales (37,000 copies) of the group's second single album "9 WAY TICKET" released in May 2021.

"Midnight Guest" is an album in which fromis_9 makes a surprise visit early in the morning to those who are having a boring night, giving them excitement. It contains a total of five songs, including the title song "DM," where you can feel fromis_9's lovely early morning sensibility.

fromis_9 Releases Content Teasers for 4th Mini-Album 'Midnight Guest'

fromis_9 shows off a different thrill with their upcoming song, "DM." 

Last December 30, 2021, fromis_9 released a concept trailer video for "Midnight Guest." The concept trailer video started with a scene in which Seoyeon looked around and approached the window in the night.

Then, the appearance of fromis_9, who went secretly outside, created a strange tension and stimulated the curiosity of the viewers.

At the end of the video, Jiheon smiled brightly while looking at the camera through the lights in the city's night street.

In the last frame, the album name "Midnight Guest" and the release schedule were seen, bringing excitement to their worldwide fans who have been waiting for fromis_9's return.

Then on January 10, fromis_9 released the tracklist for their 4th mini-album "Midnight Guest," which was published just a week away from the official release of the album.

Because of this, the anticipation for the comeback has been raised to a higher level.

The album includes five songs including the title song "DM," "Escape Room," "Love is Around," "Hush Hush," and "0g" (Younggram). In particular, the fourth track "Hush Hush" was created with the participation of members Jiwon and Seoyeon in writing and composing the lyrics.

The title song "DM" is a pop genre song with a faint chord progression and a funky bass line. The cool bursting chorus part is impressive, and you can feel the lovely sensibility of fromis_9.

fromis_9 Reveals Stories Behind 'Midnight Guest'

fromis_9 shared various stories about the new album in the "Midnight Guest" Talk Show video previously released through the group's official YouTube channel, "Official Fromis_9." 

In the talk show, the members introduced one syllable of their favorite section from the lyrics of the title song.

They also shared the behind-the-scenes story of the official photoshoot. After confirming a super-fast comeback with their 4th mini-album in about four months, fromis_9 becomes a "midnight guest" to visit the listeners in the night.

Meanwhile, fromis_9 will hold a media showcase to celebrate the release of the 4th mini-album "Midnight Guest" on January 17 at 4 PM (KST), then, the music video for the title song will be released on YouTube at 6PM (KST) of the same day. In addition, at 7 PM on the same day, a fan showcase will be held both online and offline to meet fans worldwide.
