Biloxi woman turns herself in after being accused of murdering her girlfriend

A Biloxi woman is accused of murdering her girlfriend in a Georgia hotel room before driving to South Mississippi and turning herself in.

According to Biloxi Police, Selena Caprice Kellum is charged with murder, along with four other felonies in Smyrna, Georgia.

Police in Smyrna believe Kellum shot her girlfriend, Shaikia Strong, in the cheek and neck, following a domestic dispute on December 22nd.

West Point police say Smyrna Police contacted them after Strong was found dead in a hotel room. Strong had been in the Atlanta area only a few months when she was killed.

According to police, after the shooting, Kellum drove to Biloxi to stay with her sister. The next day she confessed to the murder to Biloxi police.

Kellum has already been extradited to Georgia’s Cobb County Jail where she is being held without bond.
