Sylver. He spent years in prison for a crime he didn't commit and then dies a few years after getting released.

I didn’t vote because they all equally annoyed me. Not because I particular loved any of them, but there are so many awful characters in Hollyoaks right now, and I feel those 3 still had lots of potential left.

I liked all 3 of them, but Sylver was the weakest character out of the trio IMO.

Marnie was my favourite so was gutted she died.

Marnie, enough to admit it has put me off caring about the new "vision" for the show.

Honestly none. There is no point just killing characters that are boring or that the audience have no affection for, killing off Marnie and Celeste were purposeful and in Celeste’s case especially, gave them a fitting ending

Celeste I hardly even got to know. Sylver seemed a bit bored, or at least David Tag did playing him. Marnie was quite versatile and had lost her snottyness to become a better member of the community towards the end.

Disappointed by Celeste and Marnie's deaths. Was looking forward to Celeste after this Toby story and seeing her progress. And Marnie has become one of my faves. Not impressed whatsoever and frankly not excited for the future of the show.

I think out of Faroe’s, Celeste had the most potential after this storyline. Toby is written into a corner so he should have died if either of them. I’d rather see him die them locked up again as that would make him worse.

Marnie, In small doses she was fine but abit OTT. I don’t think she should have died though.

Slyver the only eye candy for me out the three. He should have just stayed away but atleast he went out a hero but Bobby and Mercedes should have been left behind. He bloody saved Bobby and he left him to die rather than tell anyone to help him/where he was stuck. Mercedes drags the show down. She needs killing off for the shows sake imo. Cher as bad as she is, I don’t think she deserved or needed to die.

Out of the 3 deaths, Celeste is the only one that annoyed me, Slyver was just expected as was Marnie given the actress took it off her twitter.

Should have been Toby and then the unbearable duo of Brooke and Ripley who died if they refuse to kill off Mercedes

Marnie because she was the obvious comedy character that the show could of taken forward under the new vision because she is fantastic in every situation from advice to overdramatics to serious scenes and will be a huge miss.

Hunky Sylver what really annoyed me the most. The producer Lucy Allan could have got rid of most the deadwood, but no, she chosen to get rid of the best characters. I don't normally say this about a producer, but she needs to go.

I didn't mind sylver but I think Bobbie being the cause of it and taking after his grandfather has good storyline potential.

I expected Sylver to be killed off but Celeste is a close 2nd for me. Toby still could die in upcoming episodes. I can't see him surviving because of Lisa murder is now revealed.

Sylvers death reminded me of how Warren “died” in the Loft fire.

Marnie - a wonderful character who could do comedy and tragedy equally well, had fantastic delivery and a spark of good chemistry with almost every character she interacted with.

Celeste was developing into a good character and could have been great without the convoluted Lisa story. Now we shall never know.

Sylver, so much better with Grace and away from Mercedes.

None of the deaths would’ve been my picks for characters to kill off. I think Celeste had the most stories still to tell though.

I liked Marnie. Wasn’t happy with Celeste dying either, should have been Toby.

Really liked her friendships! Especially with Misbah recently.

Sylver..seemed they didn't know what to do with his character. Didnt like him with Mercedes just because you knew what would happen..affair..the usual

Celeste. . From sounds her decision anyway but still a shame

I actually didn't mind all three of them as characters individually.

But Marnie was a great character I liked her character development from a snob to a caring grandmother.

Celeste was the one I was more shocked about I didn't expect her too die I was expecting Toby or possibly Donna-Marie

Sylver was the least shocking it was obvious he was on his way out but to kill him off and go running back to Mercedes before hand after all shes done to him just didn't sit well with me it got to the point where I actually stopped caring for his feelings as a character as he just let Mercedes walk all over him it's also the one that will likely have a negative impact too as I for one not at all happy with the direction they want to take Bobby in all beacuse his the grandson of Silas its actually pretty corny to be honest from the writers part plus who wants to watch bratty kids ? 😂 all jokes aside though the child actor who plays Bobby is good so least that's a positive.

    Isn't Silas Bobby's great-grandfather?

I've voted celeste as I really believe she could have been an amazing character if she hadnt been saddled with Toby's story.

As I said on the episode thread, Marnie will be a loss as she completed the Nightingale family. Cant see them being connected much now.

Sylver dying: I'm grateful for that. His purpose seemed to be to highlight the worst of other characters. His only decent times were often overlooked when being a brother to Goldie.

She really is what Silas thinks of her. I don’t like calling people It but she definitely is and she offers nothing to the show and just goes in circles. She’s the 3rd character on my axe list for that show after Ripley and Brooke who I can’t stand. Those 3 I’d kill off with on screen bodies so they can never return.

With the right material, Mercedes can be really good. Ripley is underdeveloped as a character and seems to fulfill the role of the 'teacher' in a TV show for very small children - a kind of Geoffrey to Ollie's Bungle, Becky's Zippy and Brooke's George. Brooke is going through an irritating phase but they are supposed to be young and impressionable.

All of them annoyed me in some way but Sylver's death I have to admit was the one that annoyed me the most followed by Marnie and Celeste.

Sylver's death means the tired old storyline about all of Mercedes's husbands/lovers dying is brought back in full-force. Out of 5 husbands and 4 marriages, all of them are dead. Russ divorced her the first time but for some inexplicable reason went back to her and he didn't get a second chance. I just hate it when they make it a recurring theme to kill off a characters love interest to the point where it gets to being a joke. Its the same reason I'm annoyed with what they did to Gail's character on Coronation Street too. Gail was married 6 times and divorced only twice. The rest of her husbands all died. Her first husband Brian who she remarried after divorcing him ended up taking his chance a second time and lost and Martin is still alive and out there and I am constantly worried that they will bring him back to reunite with Gail and then kill him off. The types of storyline where a character is constantly widowed I find are just majorly improbable.

Marnie's death annoyed me because now James doesn't have a parent to fight in his corner like he did before and is on his own and will probably end up going down a self-destructive streak when his son and their mutual sister need him plus she was a good matriarchal figure and I loved her friendship with Misbah but that all is destroyed now that she is dead meaning the Nightingale family just consists of James, his son and the sister they share because her mother had sex with both a father and a son. How much do you wanna bet they won't get Ellie and Alfie back for their mother's funeral? Not to mention bringing Alfie back to support his biological mother who is engaged to a man who is terminally ill?

Celeste's death annoyed me because if anybody should have been killed off it should have been Toby. We never got to see her in a storyline on her own. It always was about Toby and first his revenge against their family and then helping him to cover up the fact that he tried to murder their triplet and ended up killing their cousin instead and then making sure Toby didn't go too far off the rails. She never had a chance to shine in a plot of her own. Now we never will.
