'Summer House': Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke Dating Timeline

Summer House stars Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke may have had an unconventional journey to the start of their relationship, but the BFFs-turned-fiancés have never been happier together! “I’m happy to report, we are dating and things are really good,” Carl told Us Weekly in January 2022. “We’re very happy. She’s someone that’s been an incredible support and part of my life [for years].”

The OG cast members have worked together since 2017, and Carl said that being “very close” and “best friends,” laid the groundwork for their romance. “The bond we have over these summers and over our life — the last six, seven years — is unmatched,” he told the outlet.

Fans of the long-running Bravo series – which is in its seventh season as of February 2023 – saw Carl and Lindsay’s relationship move out of the friend zone and into “are we, aren’t we” territory after the couple revealed they had hooked up during summer 2019. Season 4 of Summer House also gave fans a glimpse of the pair trying to navigate their romantic relationship before it fizzled out – something the Hubb House Public Relations founder opened up about in a March 2020 Instagram post.

“For everyone saying that this situation was ‘scripted’ or was for a “‘storyline,’ it wasn’t,” the Bravolebrity wrote in part at the time. “Unfortunately going into it, Carl didn’t exactly understand that I’m not dating just to date at this point in my life (even if he is my best friend), or that he wasn’t quite ready for the level of commitment I need in a relationship. Our expectations were not aligned, which is where it all went wrong. Trust me, he knows … I held him accountable then and he holds himself accountable now.”

Carl’s alcohol issues also got in the way of the pair coupling up that season. The former Loverboy businessman passed on filming the show’s spinoff, Winter House, in 2021, to focus on maintaining his sobriety, though Lindsay was featured as a full-time cast member on the show’s first season. The PR guru has always been completely supportive of his personal journey, even before their romance fully blossomed.

“He’s such an amazing guy, and I have loved his sobriety journey … I’ve always seen the good in Carl, but it was sometimes masked by the bad that his drinking would bring out of him, and once he eliminated that, it’s just all good all the time,” Lindsay revealed during a November 2021 appearance on the “Reality Life With Kate Casey” podcast. She added, “We hang out all the time. We do everything together. We live in the same building.”

The pair confirmed their romance in January 2022, and have been going strong ever since! After guest-starring on an episode of season 2 of Winter House, fans will see Lindsay and Carl return to the Hamptons – as an officially engaged couple – for a summer of hijinks, explosive fights and fallouts, epic theme parties and more.

2020

Lindsay addressed her and Carl’s fizzled fling while season 4 was airing, writing an “important” Instagram post about their relationship in March.

“Shortly before filming this past summer, Carl and I wound up single at the same time. It was then that he decided to shoot his shot. Honestly, good for him,” she wrote. “But there is no rule book written on how to go from best friends to then being romantic and then back to friends again. And to do it while we are filming, and while living in the same house under the scrutiny of everyone around us. It truly was a rollercoaster of emotions, and you guys are on that roller coaster with us.”

January 2022

Carl confirmed that he and Lindsay were officially an item in January 2022, noting that their relationship turned romantic toward the end of filming season 6 of Summer House.

“There’s just been more feelings. We hang out all the time. I can’t tell you how many friends of ours have said, ‘Oh, what about, you know …’ Like, deep down, always wondering [about] me and Lindsay,” he told Us Weekly at the time. “And I ran from that for some reason. I was scared ‘cause dating your best friend is really freaking scary.”

That same month, Lindsay penned a sweet tribute to her “babe” in honor of his birthday. “I’m not going to get too mushy (even though I really want to, and have so much to say) but as I look at these photos, I tear up with pride and happiness at the man you are today, and I couldn’t be happier to celebrate the day you were born!” she captioned a carousel of Instagram photos.

May 2022

“We’re very serious, in love and very happy,” Carl told Us Weekly of he and Lindsay moving in together. “We’re really excited to start our next chapter together. Living together is a big step, but we’ve basically been doing it for the last year, just switching into each other’s apartments here and there.”

August 2022

Carl popped the question to his Summer House costar in August 2022. Though Lindsay posted a handful of photos from the big day, the Bravo star opened up about their engagement in an Instagram post the following month.

“[Carl] surprised me with the sweetest, most romantic proposal on the beach. After we left the beach, we went to one of my favorite restaurants in the Hamptons, @dockerswaterside where he surprised me again!!” she wrote. “He flew my parents in, and invited a few of my best friends to come celebrate our love, and the biggest moment of our lives yet. I’m still not over it! I can’t wait to marry you my love!”

October 2022

The salesman had babies on the brain while attending BravoCon with his fiancée. “Babe, I want to have a family with you,” Carl told Lindsay while the couple spoke with Us Weekly at the time. “I’m just really excited to have a family and start a family with her.”

Carl also reflected on their relationship in an October 2022 Instagram post, sharing a photo from when their relationship started to blossom. “A year ago is when everything started to change in our relationship,” he wrote. “In the last 12 months we traveled all over and had so many amazing experiences together. Still pinching myself looking back at our Europe trip. We’ve laughed a lot, we’ve cried a lot but most importantly I’ll never stop celebrating my love for you! I’m a lucky man.”
