Laura Donnelly Cast In Marvel’s Werewolf By Night Special

The Nevers star Laura Donnelly cast in Marvel’s Werewolf by Night Special according to Deadline. About all we know so far about the Halloween Special is that Gael Garcia Bernal has been cast in the lead role. Given the comic books has two characters who become the Werewolf we are not 100% sure which one Bernal is playing, Fans assume it is Jake Gomez as opposed to Jack Russell inhabiting the lead slot here. As for who Donnelly may be playing? As per the trade.

No official word yet on who Donnelly is playing, but if Garcia Bernal is Werewolf by Night, she potentially could be Nina Price, who becomes Vampire by Night. Price is the niece of character Jack Russell/Werewolf by Night and a vampire/werewolf hybrid. She carried the lycan gene and was changed further after being bitten by a vampire.

Speculative, but without any further information this for now seems as likely as any other options. For all anyone knows this could be a brand new role created for the MCU, rather than having a comic counterpart. as per Murphy’s Multiverse (see below), the Werewolf by Night Halloween Special is set to shoot between end of February and mid-March.

It is also rumored that we may first see Bernal as the Werewolf within the upcoming Moon Knight show. However I stress this is just a rumor and no confirmation has happened thus far. I’m always excited to see the MCU version of characters I was less familiar with in my comics reading days. Werewolf by Night is currently only a Halloween Special. However one might expect we will see more of Bernal and potentially Donnelly elsewhere in the MCU.
