Today, Frontier Foundry, developer Okomotive, announced that Far Changing Tides is now released in March. This follows 2018’s Far: Lone Sails. It will be available to download from early March. This adds to an already packed month with many amazing game releases.

Pre-orders can also be placed across multiple platforms. Far: Changing Tides will also be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Okomotive’s newest game is a 2.5D vehicle adventure game. It trades the dry-out seabed from its predecessor for flooded land. Toe, the protagonist, is tasked with uncovering the remains of a lost civilization and solving environmental puzzles.

New dangers or expanded mechanics will not diminish the series’ meditation qualities. It will be fascinating to see how the title’s atmosphere changes when it switches to a flooded world.

Trailers and screenshots show that the sea life in these locations is more vibrant than the stark desolation of the first game.

Far: Changing Tides will be released on March 1st, and it will arrive on PC, Xbox Series X/S (PC), Xbox One, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Preordering the PC version via Steam or the Epic Games Store is now possible. Watch its latest trailer, and then check out this hour-long sample soundtrack that includes in-game assets.
