A Four Chaplains Day ceremony will take place at 10 a.m., Feb. 3 at Ss. Robert and William Church, 351 E. 260 St. in Euclid,

Ss. Robert and William Catholic School’s No Place for Hate Committee will hold the tribute to current service members and to the heroism of the Four Chaplains — George L. Fox, Alexander D. Goode, Clark V. Poling, and John P. Washington — who sacrificed their lives saving others during World War II when their ship, the U.S.A.T. Dorchester was torpedoed on Feb. 3, 1943.

The program will also highlight the selfless service and interfaith cooperation of the four chaplains who came from various religious backgrounds, according to a news release.

Retired Colonel Cheryl Ludwa, Rabbi Scott Roland, the Rev. Brian T. Moore, and the Rev.. John Betters will give tributes to each of the Four Chaplains. Students from the No Place for Hate Committee will honor the chaplains and military guests and veterans through poetry and song.

Current military, veterans, and other interested guests are encouraged to attend, the release stated.
