Woman suffering medical condition slams car into bank
A woman who drove her car into a bank was suffering from a medical condition, according to Yonkers police.
The wild crash at the HSBC bank building on Nepperhan Avenue was caught on camera around 6 p.m. Monday.
The woman was at the McDonald's drive-thru across the street when she suddenly drove straight across the street and into a 10-foot window. "Nobody was in the building, and it looks likes she'll make a recovery so it's pretty lucky considering the damage that was done," Yonkers Assistant Fire Chief Christopher Maher.
Police only say the driver is a 50-year-old woman. Rescue crews had to extricate her after she was knocked unconscious.
