Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame to induct 'Karate Kid' actor Ralph Macchio

Macchio is joined in the hall's Class of 2022 by Smithtown Olympian John Daly, Babylon surfing pioneer Charlie Bunger, ESPN broadcaster Linda Cohn, San Diego Padres general manager AJ Preller, former MLB closer Billy Koch, former NFL running back Darrel Young and a slate of others.

"Karate Kid" actor Ralph Macchio will be a special inductee into the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame.
Macchio made three "Karate Kid" movies, playing a major role in the popularity growth of the martial art in the 1980s. The franchise recently got a new boost with the Netflix series continuation "Cobra Kai."
Macchio is joined in the hall's Class of 2022 by Smithtown Olympian John Daly, Babylon surfing pioneer Charlie Bunger, ESPN broadcaster Linda Cohn, San Diego Padres general manager AJ Preller, former MLB closer Billy Koch, former NFL running back Darrel Young and a slate of others.
