Remember the Mitsuoka Orochi? The bizarre sports car hit the market in 2006 and with just 400 examples produced, it remains one of the most intriguing cars to come out of Japan in recent decades.
Eager to breathe new life into the Orochi, famed tuner Liberty Walk has unveiled the modified example that it will premiere at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Liberty Walk has made a name for itself modifying some of the planet’s most popular sports cars and supercars and has now developed a widebody kit for the Orochi. The car already looked like a fish and now it looks like a fish that’s had a little too much to eat.

In modifying the car, Liberty Walk has equipped it with an extended front splitter that sits just a few millimeters off the ground. The car has also been equipped with flared front and rear wheel arches and also sports extended side skirts. The ride height has also been lowered, likely thanks to an aftermarket air suspension system, and is complimented by a set of black wheels sitting neatly in the arches.
Rounding out the modifications made is the fitment of a towering rear wing mounted to the bumper.
It is unclear if Liberty Walk has played around with the car’s engine. If it hasn’t, that means the car retains its original 3.3-liter Toyota V6 that produces 231 hp and 242 lb-ft (328 Nm) of torque while coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.
